Indonesia Only Has One ‘Fortress’ to Prevent the Water Crisis
Did you know that Indonesia is threatened by a water crisis?
Indonesia is a country rich in water resources, but their distribution is not evenly distributed. Most of the water storage buildings in Indonesia are on the island of Java, while Papua Island, which has the largest area, does not yet have a single water storage building.
This condition is certainly very worrying, considering that the need for clean water is increasing along with population growth and industrial development. The water crisis in Indonesia can cause various problems, such as drought, floods and disease.
Therefore, the government and society need to work together to overcome the problem of unequal distribution of water storage buildings. One effort that can be made is to build more water storage buildings on Papua Island and other parts of Indonesia that do not yet have water storage buildings.
The government also needs to encourage efficient and sustainable use of water resources. This can be done by implementing more modern water treatment technology and saving water use.
The water crisis is a serious problem that needs to be addressed immediately. By working together, we can create an Indonesia that is prosperous and free from water crises.
